One of the best ways to study the Bible and find freedom, healing and hope in Jesus is to interact with small groups of people that are also deepening their knowledge of the Bible. The Sabbath School and Personal Ministries department provides Bible study guides and material for small groups that meet on Saturday mornings and other times of the week to study. No matter what your age, this department has resources to help you get to know God better and to share what you learn with others.
Personal Ministries is a facet of the church whose origin can be traced to the beginning of Seventh-day Adventist® history in the 1860s. It endeavors to inspire, motivate, equip, train, and mobilize all members for dynamic Christian service with the conviction that “The church of Christ is organized for service” (Ministry of Healing, p. 148) and “Every son and daughter of God is called to be a missionary; we are called to the service of God and our fellow men” (The Ministry of Healing, p. 395).
Rest connects to salvation, to grace, to Creation, to the Sabbath, to our understanding of the state of the dead, to the soon coming of Jesus—and to so much more.
The goal of Cornerstone Connections is to lead you to the Bible to see the big story of God and people. This big story continues from the first generation in Eden to your generation today. It’s about the lives of people as the
God of the universe interacts with them.
In your Bible Study Guide you will find each weekly Sabbath School lesson marked as to where it fits in the big Bible story. Today we live between the first coming and the second coming of Jesus. We live very close to the Second Coming!
